A serial killer dares Buck to stop him from killing. He and the police enter the chase, but Buck has to call on his crew of operatives to help find the elusive killer and puts the one he loves in danger.

  – Laura, a lesbian who is a crack shot with her .45 automatic.
  – Chandler, a man-about-town; he likes nice things and thinks outside the box.
  – Vlad, a Russian immigrant and an electronics specialist. (first appears in Encomienda)

• A serial killer called Nobodi challenges Buck to stop him and says he will leave all his assets to Buck if Buck succeeds in catching or killing him.

• Buck has to bring in all his operatives to catch the killer, so we meet them for the first time.

• He and Cyndi are back together, but this puts her in danger, too.
